Clippers' Beal to have season-ending surgery - report
Los Angeles Clippers guard Bradley Beal will have surgery for a hip fracture and miss the rest of the NBA season, his agent told ESPN on Wednesday.
The sports website said the three-time All-Star is expected to make a "full and complete recovery".
Beal exited the Clippers' game against Phoenix on Sunday with hip pain, and coach Tyronn Lue said Monday that Beal would have diagnostic imaging and miss multiple games.
Beal joined the Clippers in July after agreeing to a contract buyout with the Suns, inking a two-year deal worth a reported $11 million.
But the 32-year-old as played in just six games for the Clippers, missing time a left knee injury and lower back trouble.
It's another blow for the Clippers, who are 3-7 this season and are currently without oft-injured star Kawhi Leonard, who is sidelined by a sprained ankle.
