EastEnders spoilers for September 15 show Kat Slater withdrawing from her family after the death of her daughter Zoe, before receiving comfort from Oscar Branning.
In the September 14 episode, Kat, played by Jessie Wallace, found Zoe dead in bed. Zoe, played by Michelle Ryan, had suffered a head injury the day before and later cried out for her mother while alone.
Alfie Moon, played by Shane Richie, discovered what had happened and informed the rest of the family. He consoled Kat in the Square as police arrived to remove Zoe’s body.
The following episode continues the aftermath at the Queen Vic, where the Slaters struggle to understand the death. Kat separates herself from the others and later goes to Container Junction.
There, Oscar Branning, played by Pierre Counihan-Moullier, comforts her by talking about his mother Tanya’s experience after Abi died. Kat subsequently returns to the pub.
When she finds family members holding a vigil in Zoe’s bedroom, Kat orders them to leave. News of the death also spreads through Walford, affecting Max Branning, played by Jake Wood, who was the last person to see Zoe alive.
The consequences of the previous week’s wedding events continue for Max and others involved. Elsewhere, Penny Branning, played by Kitty Castledine, worries about her unborn baby when labour pains begin. Doctors reassure her that everything is fine.
The scenes are scheduled for BBC One at 7:30 p.m. on September 15 and for streaming on BBC iPlayer from 6 a.m. that day.
